When Robert Rodriguez was a newbie writer, back in the day, he wrote a Predator story or concept for a writing assignment. Years later, Alex Young from 20th Century Fox was digging through the archives, desperate for the new and juicy when he stumbled upon Robert’s concept.
The “Predators” story revolves around the original Arnold character being shipped off to the Predator homeworld to be a part of a kind of Alien (to the Predator species) Zoo, ostensibly for the purposes of hunting training or other entertainment. Great idea. I approve. Let me push my Green Light button. Not only would you have humans in the Zoo of course but way cool aliens from all around the galactic neighbourhood. There would be a prison break of course, followed by all hell, etc.
Robert goes on to say that his next movie is Nervecracker, a Blade Runner-ish concept I will also look forward to. Via Aintitcool.
