Well, he said he’d be back, and so it’s come to past that Arnold Schwarzenegger has left the California Governor’s mansion and is making noise that he wants to get back into the acting game. Enter: “Terminator 5″?
According to Deadline, Universal Studios is very interested in grabbing a piece of the “Terminator” franchise and handling it over to “Fast Five” director Justin Lin as his next project. They’re also very keen on teaming Lin up with writer Chris Morgan (“Wanted”) to come up with an idea.
Now the question is, will that idea continue in the aftermath of McG’s poorly-received (and commercially eh) sequel “Terminator Salvation”? No idea, but here’s hoping if they do return to the future, they leave the damn robot-who-wants-to-be-human bullshit alone and stick with John Connor already. Why the hell would you introduce John Connor and then have him just running around screaming in the background while the robot did all the work up front?
Anyways, it looks like a “Terminator 5″ may be possible after all. Or hell, at least it’s more possible NOW than it was, say, two years ago…
