Pitch Black 3 aka Riddick is Rated R

Vin Diesel said that in order to do “Riddick”, the third in his “Pitch Black” series right, it would have to be Rated R, similar to the first film. Looks like Diesel has gotten his R.

The latest MPAA release has the film being Rated R for “strong violence, language and some sexual content/nudity”.

There ya go.

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

The second film in the series, “The Chronicles of Riddick”, was PG-13, though I’m not sure how much that had to do with the movie being the unmitigated disaster that it was.

Written and directed by David Twohy, “Riddick” (it could still get a new title by 2013) stars Diesel, along with Karl Urban, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Jordi Mollà, Nolan Gerard Funk, and Bokeem Woodbine.

why do they bash Chronicles of Riddick? It is an awsome movie and one of my favorites. I am sure that they loved Les Miserables though!! booooo
