Joining the “Green Lantern” team of already established players such as Ryan Reynolds (Canuck and hubby of Scarlet Johansson) and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) comes Peter Sarsgaard portraying a villain that comes upon his powers in the oldest and truest of Sci-Fi traditions, the funky glowing meteor. Martin Campbell of “Casino Royale” fame will direct in the tale of a man that through brightest day and blackest night never lets evil escape his sight.
Peter Sarsgaard will play Dr. Hector Hammond, a guy that feels that despite his education, he never got his daddies approval and so decides to terrorize the Earth after encountering a special effects endowing meteor. “Green Lantern” filming is about to get underway down in New Orleans and will be out on June 17, 2011.
