Gasp! Shudder! Peter Berg’s tale of high seas alien battles “Battleship” won’t be shot in 3D. Or at least, there’s no plan to do so right now as the film gears up for production, but that could very well change after the film is in the can, as studios can now pay a hefty check to get their films “3D-ized” on a whim. Of course, the chances are that the film will end up as 3D, and as much as I hate the fad, the movie’s action would definitely lend itself to the process. Hell, at least making “Battleship” 3D makes more sense than, say, 90% of the bullshit that Hollywood is currently turning into a 3D movie.
