Via his Facebook account, Vin Diesel has posted the first concept art from what I assume is the upcoming “The Chronicles of Riddick” sequel, because I don’t recall that dog from any of the previous movies.
Says Diesel about the pic:

It’s a shame “Doctor Who: The Waters of Mars” got lost in the hysteria regarding David Tennant’s prolonged departure. Unlike viewers across the pond, BBC America decided to air the third special nary a week short of the climatic “The End of Time”. The result: most people seemed to skip “Waters” in lieu of action to climax in the coming week. Fortunately, BBC has release all the specials this month on Blu-ray, allowing fans to see The Doctor at his most desperate–and in a tale that neatly dovetails into his last spin in the TARDIS.
I’ve never even heard of ABC’s new show “The Gates” until this SciFiWire write-up, which has the official network description for the show, which lists two of the show’s stars, Rhona Mitra (above) and Marisol Nichols (below). It hides a lot of the secrets, but those secrets are out now. Read on for the SPOILERS.
For all you “Halo” fans out there that have given up on a “Halo” movie ever happening, “Halo” head honcho Frank O’Connor wants you to relax, because they will eventually do a movie based on the popular game. It’s not, O’Connor indicates, a matter of “if”, but more like “when”.
You can always count on “South Park” to poke a little fun at the latest would-be Hollywood blockbuster. They’ve already parodied “2012″, “Avatar”, and pretty much every big movie out there. On last night’s “South Park”, they took on “Tron”, though admittedly they didn’t really slam on the franchise.

The thing about Hollywood is, they’re always talking up sequels (or since the coming of the “Lord of the Rings” and “Matrix” movies, trilogies) before a movie is released. When it comes to genre movies, the talk gets revved up pretty high, and honesty, you really can’t take it with any seriousness because until the film’s box office numbers come in, it’s all talk.
Wasn’t too long ago that we had Jonny Lee Miller as the rumoured lead in AMCs The Walking Dead, based on a very good comic series by Robert Kirkman. It’s all over for Jonny it seems as Andrew Lincoln from the the U.K. show This Life as well as Teachers and Afterlife has gotten the gig.
If you’re a Sci-Fi fan and you are not excited about Christopher Nolan’s “Inception”, starring Leo Dicaprio and a host of fabulous others, you’ve gone mental.
Daily readers of the site will probably already know that I’m not the world’s biggest fan of “Smallville”. Okay, so I think it’s stretching it a bit to go nine, ten seasons with this show. I mean, what the hell, “Firefly” doesn’t last past one year, and “Smallville” is already on year nine? That just ain’t right.
Apparently Megan Fox is not the only actor on “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” that has less than flattering things to say about the film. Despite the fact that it made a gazillion dollars, “Fallen” is considered by many to be a big loud mess. I gotta agree to a point, but I never really expected all that much from it in terms of story, so my disappointment was perhaps tempered a bit.
Apparently slotting the live-action movie adaptation of the “Gears of War” game as a 2010 release was way too optimistic on our part, because after a lot of fits and starts, the film’s development now seems to have come to a screeching, grinding halt.
The very quirky and lovely Olivia Thirlby, who has spent most of her relatively young career playing second fiddle in films like “Juno”, “Eve”, and “Breaking Upwards”, will be getting her first major leading role in the Timur Bekmambetov-produced sci-fi invasion movie “Darkest Hour”.
This would be some juicy news indeed. “Cowboys And Aliens” is the Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”) directed movie written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof about the wild west and aliens that think we’d be easy pic-kens, partner.
