I have been so disgusted with the wretched dreck put out by ABC this season. V is beyond horrible–as bad as the original V back in the ’80s. FlashForward has been very disappointing–they took one of my favorite particle physics based science fiction novels and turned it into a cop (FBI) drama.

However, AMC has done something great–given us a truly intriguing remake of The Prisoner. This is a show that Lost fans can appreciate–finally! My only lament is that it is so short–only three two-hour episodes. I’m going to rent the original 1967 series from Netflix–I didn’t give it my true attention back in the ’60s (too busy being a flower child) so I’m looking forward to seeing it in a new light.

hi all could not wait for this to air the pilot was ok however i think that they should have tried keeping with the old series keeping the spaceships the same and trying to keep same cast i was a v fanatic still am i have the entire collection on dvd box sets and the two cd soundtracks and when you look back you can see how fantastic this was back in the 80s i think this is slightly ahead timewise as far as episodes go but i think this will get good as time goes on

one thing will there be an intro to v like the old ones they wer great

Anyone else think the plot is slow, confusing, and hard to follow? Definitely not up to the standards of the original version. Several interesting ideas have been set forth but none of them is going anywhere or shows signs of going anywhere.

I liked the ideas of this show, but there were turn offs. It felt like the director forgot to take his Ritalin, for 10 ideas were thrown together, in an hour. All of this stuff would have worked into three episodes, made more sense, and would feel like you didn’t miss anything. Recently watched the V marathon on the SYFY channel, and this new movie has ruined key elements of the original. I’ll keep watching, with hopes they slow down and let the rest of us digest the story.

I really enjoyed the new show. I have not seen or heard anything regarding the old series but I enjoyed the new series very much. Some stated that Anna’s hair being short is not seductive but I disagree. I thought her character was very different than what many may find at first glance attractive, but with further viewings you began to really find a connection with her, and the power she had to control the other vistors was also something than added to her allure. I thought they told you a great deal within the first hour. I wasn’t expecting that much information to be shared. It was very fast paced and entertaining. I was disappointed to have the show end after 1 hour. It will definitely keep me watching next week! Great start!
