Fans of Ron Moore’s dark and gritty “Battlestar Galactica” TV show probably didn’t greet news of Bryan Singer (of “X-Men” fame) developing his own version of the property for a big-screen launch with a whole lot of enthusiasm. On the other hand, fans of the old Glen Larson show probably were more happy about it. According to Singer, who, yes, is still working on the movie, it’s coming, and he’s found a way to straddle the two versions of BSG.
Or at least, he thinks he has. The producer/director tells IGN in an interview:
It will exist, I think, quite well between the Glen Larson and Ron Moore universes. But that’s all I want to say about it. But it’s evolving quite well, and quite recently. I’ve been developing this for a while, and certain things came to fruition recently, and I hope to do it.
