New Stargate Universe Trailer Reveals The Sci-Fi Angst

carlyle-stargate-1There’s a new short trailer for SyFy channel’s upcoming “Stargate: Universe” up and about. More and more this new Stargate show feels like a reboot to me. This trailer highlights the more emotional, character driven, scrunched up faces versions of the Stargate world.

Marooned on an alien ship on an unchangeable course, where even basic survival necessities are not easy to come by, this Stargate feels like Starlost (anyone remember that show?) meets, well, Lost. Add in a great cast and we may be getting someplace. Thanks SciFiWire.

Great, that Ron Moore psuedoBSG thing has oozed it’s way into Stargate.

Can someone send Bonnie “Phasers Set for Fun” Hammer back to Lifetime Network where she belongs?!?!? That hairball has no business getting her hands on ANYTHING Sci-Fi.

I’m so sick and tired of shows with the all the navel staring angsty BS of a Soap Opera. Ron Moore has re-invented SciFi all right. He’s reinvented it into a steaming pile of angsty, Soap Opera crap.

I was so hopeful about SG-U. Now I’m dreading it like the plague.
