Just the other day I was lamenting Universal’s lack of promotion for their big-budget sci-fi movie “Repo Men”. Turns out, they might just be biding their time, because this came in the e-mail today. A new batch of images and a “Repo Men are Coming” hunt, a type of viral campaign to promote the show. More info on the “hunt” below, then after that, new images from the movie.
Starting today, four Runners, with a $7,500 bounty on each of their heads, kicked off a first-of-its-kind event to find out what it’s like to be hunted – and YOU can do the hunting. On behalf of Universal Pictures, I’m excited to announce the launch of the nationwide REPO MEN – HUNT, sending runners on the loose in America!
The Union is offering select men and women the opportunity to join their exclusive force of repo experts. The Repo Men must use the internet, their wits, and any other legal means possible to find anyone in possession of an artificial organ [artiforg]. Any Repo Man claiming and returning an artiforg to The Union will receive a payment of $7,500 per artiforg returned.
