Haven’t heard much about Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse lately? Well besides the rumor (since confirmed) that Whedon has tossed out the original pilot for the show, and is now shooting a new pilot, I mean. Anyways, while we wait to see Eliza Dushku kick ass and look hot on the small screen once again, here’s a new promo for the show that’s popped up online. There are some new footages here that haven’t been seen before, but whether they’re from the newly shot pilot or the old one, remains to be seen. The promo does give off a more ethereal vibe, though, and less fanboy-ish than the previous ones that have been released so far.

Dollhouse is currently scheduled to bow in early 2009 along with the seventh season of FOX’s popular 24.

Update: FOX has released their Spring 2009 schedule, and Whedon’s Dollhouse has been assigned a Friday night time slot starting on February 13, 2009. Its lead-in will be Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which is itself struggling in the ratings. What does this say about Dollhouse’s chances? Not so good. Fridays are where you send genre shows to die a fast, quick death.

X-Files was on Friday night time slot… I’m not so pessimistic. I believe that Tscc is great but ppl could not understand the value of it.

Yah, that’s the problem. The last show that managed to survive on Friday Nights on Fox was The X-Files. Every other show has perished in that timeslot. And I mean, EVERY SINGLE SHOW.
