I’m getting really pumped up for the oncoming “District 9″, a film produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Neill Blomkamp about aliens that come to visit and foolishly forget to obliterate us before they land. Silly aliens.
Can you imagine what real aliens must be thinking about us if they are observing? It’s hardly impossible. I’m not convinced at all that we have been visited, there’s just zero physical evidence, but it is possible physically. In addition, we are theoretically capable of building telescopes, or arrays of them actually, that can directly image other planets around other stars. If we are being watched and our radio waves decoded, the green guys with the antennae must think we’re completely nuts. Would you want to visit us?
A new “District 9″ trailer has popped up, with new footage and commentary by the director, Mr. Blomkamp, producer Peter Jackson and others. Man it looks good. “District 9″ opens August 14th.

Thank you so much for sharing the new trailer. I've wanted to see this movie ever since I first read of its production and release. Now, I can hardly wait to see it after viewing this trailer.
Check out my first and recently released novel, Long Journey to Rneadal. This exciting tale is a romantic action adventure in space and is more about the characters than the technology.
In the classic comic Calvin and Hobbes, Calvin once said something like “the surest proof that intelligent life exist out in the universe is that NONE of it has tried to openly visit us.” I'm paraphrasing, 'cause I don't remember the exact quote. Nuff said.
