Morena Baccarin is the new Diana in ABC’s new V Show

From the Serenity to the Stargate to the V? Obviously the first thing you need to do when you’re casting for a new V TV show is to get someone who can pull a Diana, the original female leader of the space lizards. And if you can’t get Jane Badler to come back (she’s still around, right?), maybe Morena Baccarin is the next best thing.
THR has Baccarin’s casting in the new V TV show and her character:
“V,” from WBTV, is a re-imagining of the 1980s miniseries about an invasion of aliens known as Visitors and the resistance against them. The ICM-repped Baccarin will play Anna, the leader of the Visitors who is remarkably knowledgeable about human culture and media manipulation.
Obviously Jane Badler’s shoes are big, but Morena Baccarin has that ethereal quality about her that sort of makes her perfect for roles where she’s not required to, well, act too human. Heck, she’s already played an alien in the Stargate franchise, so this won’t be that much of a stretch. Plus, she has the genre cred with the geeks, so that’s always a plus when you’re trying to nab that elusive species of men.

Damn. She is sooooooooo Incredibly Hot!
As long as they don’t do a Ron Moore on V, I’m good with it.
Make it good old fashioned Sci-Fi, and not a weekly angst fest, or psycho drama, that the fanboys will go all emo about.
Thankfully, so far, Moore hasn’t been attached to this, so I’m hopeful it will be worth watching.
Glad to see her playing a bad gal again she’s so good at it if everyone would would watch the show and send good comments in it will stay on more then one year.I liked
the show back in the 80’s and love to see morena act in anything she’s a very under rated but great actress deserves all the support the her fans can give her.
Very pretty….but I’m not picturing her as Diana. I don’t have any high expectations for this new V.
Oh she is sexy, the only thing Jane Badler has that is better is a sexier nose (the curves of the nostrils and nose. But still superb eye candy!
And V was a great show, I always love the trill of anytime “First Contact” between Earth and Aliens occurs. Something the original Battle Star Galactica had (the return of starbuck 1980 episode was good).
But I agree Ron Moore relly messed up The New Galactica, and took us for fools when he ended the show with them coming to prehistoric earth 40K years ago, dumping the ships (when its eairer to just park them on the dark side of the moon for a future posterity record) and then what happened huh, humanity still slid into slavery, warfare, cast system, houlocaust of Jews and Native Americans, how rediculous is that – what Adama didn't bother to warn the primitive humans that war AI machines are dangerous or slavery and war is evil = just no logic at all – ok one or even 10 humans can be so stupid, but 40 thousand humans failed to spread the wisdom to the savages?
