As you have likely heard, the scene in “Terminator: Salvation” where Moon Bloodgood gets naked in the rain has been edited out of the theatrical version. This is disappointing and kind of strange if the ultimate reason was to lower the rating to PG 13. McG claims this isn’t the case but with all the ultra violence in this movie a little nudity shouldn’t have hurt the rating much. Once again, in North American movies, violence is ok, sex is bad. Moon herself had some words to say about the edit at a recent press thing.
We heard that you were fighting to keep your topless scene in the movie.
Let me clarify, I wasn’t fighting for it, I just don’t like to feel that as a woman I should be apologetic about my sexuality, or that I made a choice because I was forced to do it. I thought the scene was appropriate. I thought it was beautiful. I have a very European feel about nudity. I just don’t ever want to, as a woman, confine myself and be a certain way when sexuality if a part of me. So I didn’t fight for it. But I didn’t fight, you know, against it. I just want what’s right for the scene.
They said it might be on the DVD?
My boobs, or the whole thing? I mean I’ve shown my boobs to Robert De Niro, you now what I mean, it’s a boob. Why are we making such a big deal? [Laughs] Please don’t put that in quotes.
What was that scene?
Basically, it’s a moment when I’m cleaning off a wound. And I feel Sam, I feel the presence of him staring at me. I just turn back and there were scenes where I had my hands covering me. It’s literally a quick silhouette. It’s not gross or in your face. It’s just a moment where you are feeling naked and this is my sexuality and here I am, and I’m a strong woman.

Yes, I completely agree, I am european too. These americans think violence is natural and something as natural and down to earth as a naked body is taboo. Talk about thinking back wards. No wonder them yankees kill so much. NUDITY is NATURAL, KILLING IS NOT!!!
Yes, nudity is natural. But that doesn't make it right that guys oogle over women's bodies and percieve them as sexually visual OBJECTS. The more it is seen in movies and television, the more it gets engraved into people's minds that it is ok to see women in that way. It is DEGRADING! Why not have penises all over movies and in television? People say that a penis is not equivalent to a women's breasts… that a man's chest is. Please! There is nothing sexual about a man's chest!

What I was getting at is that everybody jumps on the bandwagon when it comes to nudity and the sensor gives it a “R” rating right away while chopping off some ones head is not sencored and basically telling us it is OK to kill.
it's hard for some people to take any of your opinions into account when you misspell. it's a sad fact of the human existance that people will gloss over anything perceived as wrong, or error, but thats how it is. men are simply visual creatures, thats just biology. nothing you will ever say can help or change that, i'm sorry.

I’m not sure what spelling and voicing one’s opinion have to do in common… Should we dismiss yours for spelling existence with an a? Here’s my opinion on the matter: Anyhow, why do boobs shock you (if they do!)? A man looking at a dressed woman might objectify her even more than if she was naked. Men get bored with naked woman as they do with anything else. What is sexual in a pair of female breasts? What is not sexual about a male chest? You are dealing with your own inhibitions here. Isn’t a body made to be attractive and should you not succomb to that attraction? Go walk on a nude beach (or mediteranean for that matter)and see how quick your shame of other’s bodies vanishes. Make sure you run to confession right after though. Conclusion: I’d rather explain a porn scene than a murder scene to my kids, if I had to explain anything. Which of the previous do you think they are likely to reproduce (no pun…) G’day.

I am amazed at how much I still love this series of movies. If Moon is happy to share her boobies with us fans I’m happy she is. She is beautiful, they are beautiful and the romantic tension works beautifully in the movie. What’s to not like? If people are letting their pre pubesent boys be exposed to this level of violence I see no problem exposing them to what men have been fighting for for a long long time. We fight for the right to choose. Thank God for choice. Don’t like it, don’t look at it.
