Matt Damon’s The Adjustment Bureau Lands at Universal

Sci-Fi Movie News, The Adjustment Bureau Movie — By Nix on March 5, 2009

Last week we told you Matt Damon and his “Bourne Ultimatum” writer George Nolfi were shopping around the movie “The Adjustment Bureau”, which will be loosely based on the Philip K. Dick story “Adjustment Team”. Now comes news that the movie has landed over at Universal, where Damon and Nolfi did the “Bourne” films.

Just how “loosely” will Damon and Nolfi’s version of “Adjustment” be from the Dick story? Says THR:

The story, with action, romance and sci-fi overtones, sees Damon playing a politician who falls for a ballerina only to find mysterious forces keeping the two apart.

That’s a tad different from the Philip K. Dick story, but I guess they did say this would be loosely based on it, so…

Universal is looking at a September start date for the “The Adjustment Bureau”, with writer George Nolfi making his directorial debut.
