if they had enough smarts to put he show on a night when other big name shows are not on, ie american idol, heroes, dancing with the stars etc... then theyd have a chance....also, stop flippin story telling the whole damn thing, get o some action, there isnt any action shows out anymore, its all story telling or reality shows WHICH SUCK!!! keep it easy, smooth and as realistic as possible. youll have your fans with the right formula....storytelling puts peopel to sleep

networks have learned nothing. PLEASE READ WHY THE ORIGINAL STAR TREK WAS CANCELLED. THE NUMBERS WERE READ WRONG. THEY WERE ACTUALLY HITTING THE TARGET AUDIENCE.And KNOWBODY actually watches the way they used to when we had only 3 networks you could pick up on your antenna. Nielsen ratings have NOT kept up. that I BELIEVE is why most of these good shows get cancelled LONG before they should.

I am still a very staunch believer that TIVO/DVRing is completely underepresented in the overall ratings scheme of things. I'm trying to remember the last show I watched "live" that I really gave a damn about and - could it be like MYTHBUSTERS or something?

Seriously, there has to be a way to demographic things like DVR or we're going to see more and more shows that have some great potential die on the proverbial "no-one-is-watching" vine. What can we do folks?

You know, media companies make this huge deal about moving with the times, having a bigger presence online, reaching viewers in different ways, blahblahblah, but they turn around and hypocritically discredit valid viewership from non-traditional venues--online, TiVo--from which the majority of Jericho viewers tune in. Jericho fans are not your average Joes, which is why they will never be a desirable segment for huge networks--networks that are out to brainwash the weakminded masses who rather be entertained than stimulated--and they hide behind their neilson boxes to keep from exposing the real reason they killed a truly unique show: Some new spin on an old and tired reality show will deliver more braindead people for advertisers to market to.

Jericho is one of the few night time dramas that is actually fun to watch. I do agree that the nielson ratings are very flawed and very out dated. I myself catch episodes by internet or by DVR. I am sad to see one of my favorite shows go.

CBS has never been fair about this show. It is in a very late time slot for primetime. I TiVo and watch the next morning;

I think CBS is making a big mistake. The Writer's Strike, although necessary, really messed up TV programming. Jericho was the bright star in the sky during the strike.

Now that Spring is apporaching, a time when network tv usually is in re-runs or wrapping up for the season, is now trying to salvage some ratings (advertising) by picking up where these shows had left off.

CBS should give credit to the Jericho fans for continuing to support Jericho.

Besides the late timeslot, I believe that airing the same time as American Idol was a "plot" by CBS to once and for all save their face. This way they can say .."See, we were right and the fans of Jericho were wrong.

KEEP JERICHO ON!!!!

The show stinks and deserves to be gone. Frankly, if a supposed "fan" is falling asleep during this series and misses episodes because of that, he must not be much of a fan. Of course, there's the usual whining that the show wasn't given a "fair" chance, but if people don't watch then it doesn't deserve to stick around. CBS needs to take out the trash for good this time!

I think the timeslot is the problem. If it were on even an hour earlier, it would be watched live more than tivo'd or dvr'd. I also have to say that waiting a year in between the first season and the second season and not giving it a good lead in is what I truely think is the problem. I love Jericho with all my heart! If it cancelled again, don't think there won't be another revolt!

I believe that the late timeslot is causing viewers to watch online or TiVo or even just record it on a vcr and watch it when it fits their schedule.

My son, who is 36, falls asleep during the 10 pm showing. He then watches it online at a later date. He loves the show, but has to be up early for work. A 10 pm showing just does not fit his schedule even though he is in their wanted demographic.

Every different media for watching shows on tv should be given credit. Nielsen ratings just do not work anymore.

To each his own I guess. Sorry you don't like Jericho, but thanks for the mention.

I don't necessarily see the problem as the network, or the timeslot, or the lead in - it's the ratings system. Don't give me half a dozen ways to watch something and then fault me for not choosing the ONLY way you are going to measure!

No, CBS has never given Jericho a chance. They cancelled us then learned we had viewers but not all were watching on TV. CBS relied on Nielsen numbers which are flawed. They left fans to do all the viral marketing and gave us nothing to work with until they started showing some commercials. Now they pick a late time slot, give us a bad lead in, and we deserve more than that. TiVo ratings are good, the DVD sales are good, and numbers are high elsewhere. If they look at where we are actually watching then they'd be crazy not to renew.
Thanks.
