Lena Headey Does Not Appreciate Law and Order in New Dredd Red Band Clip
Apparently having a badge and a gun (not to mention a funky helmet and shoulder pads) get you nothing in terms of respect in a “future America”, because Lena Headey’s bad lady in this new Red Band (for language) clip from Pete Travis’ “Dredd” gives our coppers no leeway at all. Damn, what’s a cop gotta do to earn a little good will?
The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One–a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge–a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of “Slo-Mo” experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.
The flick stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headey, Jason Cope, Langley Kirkwood, Kevon Kane, Joe Vaz, Warrick Grier, Scott Sparrow, Luke Tyler, and is set to make your day September 21, 2012.
