Karl Urban is Dredd, and This is His Official Trailer

Well, you’ve waited long enough, I guess, so without any further fanfare, here’s the official trailer for 2000AD’s attempt at a “Judge Dredd” live-action movie. Take a gander at the trailer below and judge for yourself if it’s better, on par, or way worse than the Sylvester Stallone version. It actually looks pretty decent, and I’m totally digging Thirlby as Dredd’s fellow Judge.
In a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop teams with a trainee to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO.
The sci-fi futuristic shoot’em up stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey. There are other characters in the movie, along with other Judges, but I suspect those three names are the only ones you’ll need to know for the majority of the movie.
The law breaks faces this September 21, 2012.
