Speaking of J.J. Abrams (no, this isn’t a J.J. Abrams site, it just so happens that the guy is involved in a lot of sci-fi work nowadays), his other big high-profile project is the FOX sci-fi show Fringe, which has added Kirk Acevedo and Tomas Arana to a cast that already includes Mark Valley.

Fringe is a costly production for FOX, and will feature a two-hour pilot costing upwards of $10 million, and will be directed by Alex Graves.

The official plot (via):

It centers on a young female FBI agent who is forced to confront the spread of unexplained phenomena and work with an institutionalized scientist whose work might be at the center of the coming storm.

Arana will play a special agent for Homeland Security who heads the special Fringe division, established to investigate a series of terrorist/paranormal events. Acevedo and Valley will play FBI agents.

I’m guessing they’ll get someone really sexy for the “young female FBI agent”. Hey, J.J., Maggie Grace isn’t doing anything right now. Know what I mean?
