Jericho is Back! (…as a comic book)

Jericho was one of those shows that I sort of liked, but as it went on, it just got really dull and silly, and I just tuned out after a couple of episodes. What really got me most about the show was just how indifferent people seem to be about that whole “end of America” part, and still kept on with their affairs, money grubbing ways, etc. Really? Eh. Anyways, the show is coming back, this time as a comic book.

THR’s Live Feed says that indie comic book publisher Devil’s Due has made a deal with CBS to publish a comic book series based on the show, which would pick up where the TV show left off. The publisher also promises to answer many of the show’s “lingering questions and is aimed at appealing to the show’s famously devoted fans.”

To accomplish this, the comic book company will be working closely with the show’s original creative team of Jon Turteltaub, Carol Barbee, Karim Zreik and Jon Steinberg.

By the by, did they ever tell us what it was that Jake used to do for a living before returning to Jericho? That was the only thing that kept me interested in the show for a while, but after a couple of episodes, I stopped wondering.
