I myself, speaking personally, have nothing at all against a nice long movie. When it’s good, let her go. The longer the movie, especially a Sci-Fi movie, the more footage we can nerd over later and dissect, frame by frame. A long movie means a really long DVD cut as well. More added scenes! “Avatar” is going to be great. James Cameron will not disappoint us and we now learn that “Avatar” will have a running time of 189 minutes. That’s more than 3 hours!
