James Cameron Reveals A Gamer Version Of His Upcoming Avatar

James Cameron was at the big, beautiful and bold E3 video games conference yesterday to talk about the upcoming game version of “Avatar”, in theatres in December. In “Avatar”, humans come to the planet Pandora and for some reason, the indigenous people the Navi aren’t much into having visitors. Humans cannot breathe the atmosphere of Pandora and so must go to and fro in extremely cool sci-fi vehicles while marveling at the local flora and fauna as seen below.

The computer game version of “Avatar” does not follow the same storyline but since it occupies the same fictional world I think we can expect the movie to look somewhat like the game screenshots, which look excellent. James, ever the perfectionist, insisted that unlike most game tie-ins to movies, Game Avatar should not suck and so the game has been in development for two years. Thanks to IGN for the news.
