It’s Official: NBC Renews Chuck for Third Season
Chuck TV Series, Sci-Fi TV News — By Nix on May 17, 2009
On the heels that FOX has renewed Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse for a second, albeit shorter season (with budget cuts), NBC is following suit by renewing the fan favorite (but lowly rated) Chuck for a third season, according to Entertainment Weekly. But just as Whedon’s Dollhouse will return to the airwaves with a shorten season and noticeable cuts, so too will Chuck.
Sources are telling EW that Chuck’s third season will initially consist of 13 episodes, and it will be returning with a trimmed budget that may spell the death of a cast regular (EW speculates it could be Anna Wu, played by Julia Ling), as well as slashing two writing jobs from the staff.
But hey, that’s the bad news. The good news is that Chuck will return for a third season, and this time — Chuck knows kung fu!
