Is Flash Gordon Cancelled or Not?

Flash Gordon TV Series, Sci-Fi TV News — By Nix on April 1, 2008

So is the Sci Fi Channel’s Flash Gordon cancelled or not? To be perfectly honest with you, while I didn’t think the show was all that bad for a Sci Fi Channel original show, it certainly wasn’t very good. It was way too camp, and the show’s Mongol setting were just downright cheesy. Now Sy Fy Portal thinks they know what’s happened to the show, even if the Sci Fi Channel won’t come out and say it: Yup, you guessed it, Flash Gordon has been cancelled. Or at least, that’s the going assumption.

More:

Fans of “The Dresden Files” found about the fate of their show when its star was signed on to another series. And now those looking to find out if “Flash Gordon” is getting another season has found out through a passing comment by a SciFi Channel executive more than a week ago.

SciFi Channel president David Howe told trade publication Variety March 21 that the network didn’t treat the character of “Flash Gordon” the way he should’ve been treated, and the network may try to do it again sometime … just not right now, which reading between the lines means that “Flash Gordon” is no longer on the schedule.

Oh well. At least this frees up the gorgeous Gina Holden for something, er, you know, less lame.

Ahh scifi, scifi, when will it ever end, you guys seem to do this every couple of years get people hooked on a show give it just enough time to get real interesting then cut it. Like invisble man, firefly, now flash, and stupid ending to a cool series, farscape. So whats next guys feel your time with more lame shows like ghost hunters & monster quest where they never find any monsters,I got it, put on more wrestling & fighting shows thats real scifi at its best RIGHT!, come on guys GET IT TOGETHER I used to love this channel now I’m considering canceling & down loading old shows.

i loved the show i got the dvd boxset
of the series for christmas last year
and i followed it from beginning to end
and it ended with an typical cliffhanger
for a possible second series but highly
unlikely if that is gonna happen
and they should do one off feature
lengh episodes stating is ming realy dead or not
that approach will be nice though but still have
the cast from the updated show in it and maybe
have dale and flash get married off the show
was fresh and had an sexier cast in it too boot
    long live flash 20/10
