Hey, Firefly Fans, Joss Whedon and the Gang are Headed Back to Comic Con 2012
Nix June 27, 2012As long as fans keep it alive, I don’t think “Firefly”, the one-season show from “Avengers” director Joss Whedon will ever die, especially not in this day and age of Internet fanboys and reruns on cable TV. One of those cable TV channels that have “discovered” Whedon’s “Firefly” is the Science Channel, who will be bringing the show, along with its creator and cast, to Comic Con this year.
The Hollywood Reporter says that you can expect Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, Adam Baldwin, Sean Maher, Michael Fairman, and “the rest of the crew of the Serenity” (does that mean everyone, including Jewel Staite, Summer Glau, Morena Baccarin, and Gina Torres, then?) for a panel scheduled for Friday, July 13th at 12:30 p.m. in Ballroom 20 at the annual San Diego shindig.
If you haven’t already, get your tickets now, Browncoats.
With Whedon having done gonzo business with “The Avengers”, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it won’t be long now until some very smart studio announce that they’ve struck a deal with Whedon to write, produce, and direct “Serenity 2″.
You heard it here first, folks.
