As fast as video games cross over into movie land these days, it’s kind of surprising that the incredibly successful HALO franchise hasn’t made it into the big light yet. The director of District 9, Neil Blomkamp, was in the early running to do HALO but there seemed to be a certain lack of confidence that Neil was quite up for something so big.
So, we have no HALO movie on the way. It will come, but until that day enjoy this live action Halo advert that award winning commercial director Rupert Sander has fired together. ODST stands for Orbital Drop Shock Troopers by the way. Looks great. Halo: ODST is an Xbox 360 game hitting the shelves in Sept. Thanks /film.

Why do they keep bothering with showing us “what could be”.
We all know the concept of what could be and that it would be a fairly decent movie..why don't they bother with actually trying to do something instead of an infinite montage of trailors?
We might as well get a live action trailer for Halo:Reach while the getting's good lol.
I agree with Cody, there should be a movie the works quick. The action would be non stop and the plot would be like every other movie involving humanity (good guys) and aliens (bad guys). If the movie would follow the books instead of the games it would be better. The overall movie would need to follow the marines more and not the Spartans, which in the books have little dialogue.
Please after the The Unit being cancelled this year, I need something to fill my void and the halo film will be it…
there is a movie in production and is set for release in 2012.
