What was good about the film was the premise of an in-valid using a valid identity. Also, "Gattaca" was the name of the space corporation. This is was another key part of the film which the series seems to be overlooking. Making the series about the police service also seems rather unimaginative, particularly if it is all about forensics and DNA. The TV show sounds like a poor combination of "Life", "Alien Nation" (TV series) and CSI. I'd much prefer a show which reimagines the film based on an in-valid Gattaca candidate and / or showing other people using "borrowed identities", possibly with the fims' Tony Shaloub character (who makes this subterfuge possible) the central link.
