Wow, has it been 10 years since “Galaxy Quest”? Yes, yes it has. Ten years later, Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing a 10-year anniversary edition called the “Galaxy Quest Deluxe Edition” on DVD May 12, 2009, which will cost you $14.99 U.S./$15.99 Canada. The new edition will include bonus materials like interviews with the actors and filmmakers discussing how the film came together and what they think of it today; a look at the extraordinarily talented and diverse cast; an exploration of the visual effects created by ILM and Stan Winston; the story of how the mannerisms of the Thermian race evolved; and of course, the ever-popular Sigourney Weaver rapping. What, you didn’t know she can rap? Girlfriend knows how to flow, biotches!

The GALAXY QUEST Deluxe Edition DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 televisions with Dolby Digital English 5.1 Surround, Spanish 5.1 Surround and Thermian 2.0 Surround with English, French and Spanish subtitles.

• Historical Documents: The Story of GALAXY QUEST—Actors and filmmakers discuss how GALAXY QUEST came together, why it still works today and what they think of the film 10 years later. Includes new interviews with Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman,
