First Teaser Trailer for BSG Prequel Caprica

I have to admit, I’m really not looking forward to Ron Moore’s Battlestar Galatica prequel, Caprica. I just feel that it’s the same old stuff, rehashing what’s already been done, and one of the reasons why I just don’t like prequels in the first place. We’ve already seen what becomes of the characters, why would we want to see how they get there? It all just seems so anti-climactic to me when movies do it, and it’s the same when TV does it. Anyways, here’s your first look at Ron Moore’s Caprica TV prequel to Battlestar Galactica. Maybe you’ll like it better than I did.

Two families, the Graystones and the Adamas, live together on a peaceful planet known as Caprica, where a startling breakthrough in artificial intelligence brings about unforeseen consequences. A spin-off of the Sci Fi Channel series “Battlestar Galactica” set 50 years prior to the events of that show.

The show premieres on the Sci Fi Channel in December.

Oh Boy, Battleesex 90210 (or, aka Beverly Hills 90210 In Space) The Early Years.

MooreRon needs to write something, ANYTHING Original. So far, all we’ve seen from him, or his porcine buddy David Eick is “reimagined” redos of popular old shows. Granted, all the stuff that made the old shows popular gets cut out, or peppered with BS teen angst, useless sexual subplots, mindless story arcs that lead nowhere, and generally the end result is glorified mind pablum for weak minded a-holes who would be better served going out and reading a book, rather than watching anything squeezed out by MooreRon, David Eick, or the Wicked Witch of the Sci Fi Channel, Bonnie “Phasers set for Fun” Hammer. Anyone care to comment on Eick’s Classic reimagining of The Bionic Woman? What a steaming Turd that was. Eick, being the low brow sort he is, was completely convinced that was Genius!

Was the Classic Galactica cheesy 70’s Sci Fi? Yes, at times, but let’s face it, even at it’s worst, it still stands head and shoulders above GINO, even at it’s best.
