First Poster for Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 3D
Nix October 14, 2011“Star Wars: The Phantom Menace” returns to theaters — this time in 3D!! — on February 10, 2012. But if you’re not into that whole fancy, newfangled 3D nonsense, you can still see it again in 2D, all remastered and whatnot. I’m assuming it promises a better looking copy than when the film was first released in 1999. Otherwise, what’s the point? George didn’t just go back and add in extra Stormtroopers or alien bugs to various scenes, did he? Hopefully not.
The new poster looks, uh, not that hot, but I do like the fact that ol Darth Maul is getting the center of attention treatment in the new poster. Never let it be said that George Lucas doesn’t know what fans want. (Unless it comes to messing around endlessly with the original trilogy, that is…)
