First Full Trailer for Percy Jackson and That Pesky Lightning Thief

If you need to launch a fantasy franchise, you could do worst than Chris Columbus, who helped launch that little guy named Harry Potter from across the pond. His latest is “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”, and a full trailer for it has shown up on YouTube.

A young boy discovers he’s the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. Based on the book by Rick Riordan.

I’ve never read the books, so I’m clueless about the franchise. But hey, what else is new, right? Anyways, when you have the great Sean Bean as Zeus, how could you go wrong?

Starring Logan Lerman, Uma Thurman, Rosario Dawson, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Bean, Catherine Keener, Kevin McKidd, Joe Pantoliano, Erica Cerra, and directed by Chris Columbus.
