You already saw the first “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” trailer (below) and pretty much knows what’s coming August 5, 2011 when the James Franco-fronted film opens. But what’s come before it? IGN has a handy “Planet of the Apes” infographics sheet that helpfully lays out all the mayor characters and plots from the last four “Planet of the Apes” films. Who knows if “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” will fit smugly into the previous four movies’ chronology, but it’s a good idea to get your bearings before you watch the film anyway. And if nothing else, it’s an amusing little “cheat sheet”, and that’s worth posting alone.
