Esai Morales Joins BSG’s Caprica
Battlestar Galactica: Caprica TV Series, Sci-Fi TV News — By Nix on May 7, 2008 |
Fresh from the cancelled-yet-again Jericho, Esai Morales has joined the cast of Ron Moore’ Caprica, the Battlestar Galactica prequel TV series. The cast already consists of yesterday’s addition, Paula Malcomson, who was cast as a surgeon and double agent. According to reports, Morales, whose previous credits also include NYPD Blue among others, will be playing Bill Adama’s dad.
The Hollywood Reporter has more on the casting and the character:
The project, from Universal Media Studios, is a prequel to the network’s “Battlestar Galactica.” Morales will play Joseph Adama, the father of William Adama (played in “Galactica” by Edward James Olmos), who one day will take command of the Battlestar Galactica.
Joseph is described as a deeply passionate man with a strong sense of justice — and someone you wouldn’t want as your enemy.
Caprica will premiere on the Sci Fi Channel as a 2-hour pilot.
