Known primarily as the guy behind the torture porn franchise “Hostel”, and now as an actor in buddy Quentin Tarantino’s movies (including the upcoming WWII movie “Inglourious Basterds”), director Eli Roth has announced that he’d like to tackle sci-fi very soon. The movie will be called “Endangered Species”, and according to Roth, he’s looking at a budget in the $60 million dollar range. Why $60 million? Because that’s what he’ll need to “do lots of mass destruction and really destroy lots of shit!”
The news comes from Empire Online, who found Roth in Cannes promoting “Basterds”. Besides the title of his new sci-fi movie, and what he would like to do with the budget he’s hoping to get his hands on, Roth wouldn’t say more on the movie, including any plot details.
Whatever “Endangered Species” ends up being, it’ll have to wait until Roth finishes up his horror flick “Thanksgiving”, which he’s lining up as his next movie. But knowing Roth and his proclivities, “Species” will probably be a bloody sci-fi movie with an impressive bodycount. Also, think hard R would be my guess.

Great another stupid movie. Hollywood please DIE!
