Earth Vs Moon Is Epic Orbital Action

Earth vs. Moon (2009) Movie, Sci-Fi Movie News — By endymi0n on August 18, 2009

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (writers of Zombieland) recently pitched a mega sized inter-planetary tale of a divided satellite and a divided family to Universal called “Earth vs Moon”. After mankind colonizes our little orbiting friend, the inevitable happens and one giant space rock wants to put the smack down on the other giant space rock.

The Drama:

“It’s about two societies at war, but it’s also about a family, not at war, but a fractured family. Half of them have gone to the moon and the other half are still on Earth and so they are on opposite sides of this conflict and we wanted to make sure that as big of movie as it’s going to be, it works on a small level. It works on a personal level, the way we like to think about Zombieland working. It’s just this huge post-apocalyptic landscape, but we really want it to work on an interpersonal level for just a few people who are the stars.”

The writers go on further to explain that there’s going to be some tasty 300 style mayhem in Earth Vs Moon but with some comedy. I always thought orbiting nukes were hilarious. Scripts are being scribbled as we speak because the tale must be told. Scott Stuber (Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, The Wolf Man) will produce. Whose side will you be on? Thanks Io9.
