Eagle Eye’s D.J. Caruso To Direct Electronic Arts Dead Space

The Electronic Arts Sci-Fi/Horror video game “Dead Space” is being made into a movie with Eagle Eye director D.J. Caruso hired to direct. “Dead Space” is another in the long line of empty spaceship, things hiding in the dark waiting to jump out and eat you games, except with slightly better graphics than most. No screenwriter yet. Heck it writes itself. Via ComingSoon.

Dead Space had an amazing story, a huge plot change, and great writers, not only that but it revolutionized horror video games, Dead Space is better than any other horror movie I’ve ever seen, and I’ve watched just about every one, including all of the Friday the 13th, Freddy, Of the Dead series, and MANY others, it is not just a typical “things hiding in the dark waiting to jump out and eat you games”.

    I agree. It seems that the person, who wrote it (“…another in the long line of empty spaceship, things hiding in the dark waiting to jump out and eat you…”) knows nothing about the game. Probably has never seen it. Dead Space idea and story is perfect for a movie. I only hope it won't be some kind of senseless, stupid butchery action movie…

    WOW….whoever wrote this article should maybe act like an actual journalist/writer and actually research the subject they're writing about. Dead Space is not just some shitty horror video game, it's the single best horror video game to come out thus far in the history of horror video games. It has an amazing, horrifying story, some of the most visually amazing and disturbing things I've ever seen, an absolutely brilliant soundscape, and actually uses sounds to scare you at points, in all honesty, I'd consider it to be better than most horror movies, and I know for a fact I'm not the only person who thinks this. So next time, instead of just writing the first thing that pops into your tiny little brain after reading a synopsis on some website, do some research….maybe even play the fucking game yourself.

    Seriously, this is the best horror survival game ever made and it redefined the genre. There is also not one horror movie I can think of that can even come close to touching this franchise. It's absolutely amazing. I don't even know how they could make a good movie out of it considering half the game's character is in the gameplay. The rest of course, is in its' amazing writing and setting.

    This game is an experience. Please endymi0n, play it and then revise your artcle.

    dead space was a horror game non like any other the first one was the best the first time you play it it creeps you out and if u played it many times its still fun i hop the second one is the same. but anyways’ if the movie is a piece of crap I’m gonna be very disappointed in the series then.
