Tired of “Dredd” stuff yet? No? Good. Here’s the latest TV spot, called “Legendary”, and a groovy new faux PSA on the dangers of Slo-mo. They’re Dredd-tastic! It’s been a while since we’ve seen a hardcore big-budget sci-fi action movie that doesn’t seem especially interested in making “important” social points. “Dredd” looks exactly like that kind of movie. Hell, there might be a social jab or two, but let’s face it, you probably won’t notice among the explosions and exploding body parts.

The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One–a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge–a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of “Slo-Mo” experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.

“Dredd” stars Karl Urban as the diehard Judge, Olivia Thirlby, Lena Headey, Jason Cope, Langley Kirkwood, Kevon Kane, Joe Vaz, Warrick Grier, Scott Sparrow, Luke Tyler, and directed by Pete Travis.

Find out why Dredd is a legend September 21, 2012.
