Dollhouse Will Air All Lucky 13 Episodes
Dollhouse TV Series, Sci-Fi TV News — By Nix on October 13, 2009
I haven’t been keeping up with “Dollhouse”. There’s really no reason for it, I just, well, have a lot of other things to do on Friday, and watching TV is really not one of them. I have a hard enough time finding room to watch my DVRs of “Stargate: Universe”. Having said that, if you are a fan of Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”, then rest assured, FOX has officially announced that they will, indeed, air all 13 episodes of the show’s Season 2.
As we speak, Whedon and company are shooting the eighth episode, and THR has confirmed via a phone call to Whedon that the fanboy favorite is currently writing the thirteenth episode. Since it’s looking unlikely that FOX will order more episodes for the current season, and a Season 3 is also looking gloom (but then again, ain’t it always?) given the show’s less than average ratings, Whedon plans, he says, on giving fans some “closure” with the 13th episode just in case.
One of the reasons why FOX may bring “Dollhouse” back is the heavy but late-counting DVR numbers for the show, which doesn’t show up in the overnight ratings. What the DVR numbers are telling FOX is that people ARE watching the show, but that Friday night timeslot just ain’t doing “Dollhouse” any favors. If FOX really wants to keep the show on the air, they would move it. There is, after all, a reason why Friday nights on FOX is called the “Friday Night Death Slot”. It ain’t cause it’s purty.
