Plot: Joss Whedon returns to TV with Dollhouse, about a futuristic laboratory where “actives” are assigned different tasks at the request of clients; the actives then have their memories erased upon the completion of their assignments. Things get complicated when one of the actives, Echo (Eliza Dushku) starts to remember.
