Dollhouse and Sarah Connor Chronicles Ratings Improve

Maybe people are finally starting to realize that FOX has a good thing going over on Fridays, and are starting to tune in? One can only hope. But anyways, here is one good news from the sci-fi TV arena, which sees a slight improvement for both Dollhouse and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles in the two show’s fourth week on FOX’s doomed Friday night timeslot.
THR’s Live Feed breaks down your numbers:
“Terminator” (3.5 million viewers, 1.2 preliminary adults 18-49 rating and 4 share) went up 20% for last night’s “Today is the Day Part 1″ (which at these viewing levels translates to a couple tenths in the adult demo). “Dollhouse” (4.3 million, 1.6/5) went up one tenth — 7%.
It’s too early to read too much into this. After four weeks of gradual but steady decline, hopefully the gain means both shows have at least found their midseason bottoms.
This is definitely good news, especially for Dollhouse. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles is way too expensive, so it’s likely to still be canceled if the numbers don’t keep improving. But for Dollhouse, a couple of more bumps upward in the ratings could very well save it, and convince FOX to move the show to another, better timeslot. We shall see.
