I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. There’s more Star Wars movies coming. It’s just a matter of time. George Lucas is 66, still well preserved but he is getting up there and he just cannot be immune from the critical beating that the last trilogy took from fans. I think he wants another go at it and my bet is that more films are in development right now.

This may or not be a direct word on this eventual happening. Thomas Dolby, composer and musician of some note has written on his blog the following:

My host is friend and former collaborator Paul Sebastien, who over the years has worked for Xbox, Playstation, and now LucasArts. Last night he was telling me a little about the forthcoming Star Wars-related TV show, movie and online games—very cool indeed. I’m not a huge fan myself (and definitely not a gamer) but it sounds like Mr Lucas has got his head into a good place. I met him several times when I was working on a movie in the 80s called [name suppressed to protect credibility!] and he’s a decent chap, but I could have done without the last three SW movies.

Ah, you’re saying he probably didn’t mean to say movie. Thomas is talking to a guy in Paul Sebastien who is an insider and who may have this kind of in development info. Likely we’ll see comments like this before any kind of real announcement is made. Stay tuned for more. Thanks Aintitcool for the heads up.
