Deadpool Movie Confirmed

Deadpool was among the few interesting things in the “Xmen Origin: Wolverine” movie released last week. Despite the fact that he played a god in the movie, able to bend the laws of physics at will, he was a cool and funny character.

Once again a note to all newbie screenwriters. You have to make movie watchers believe that your characters are under threat for it to be interesting. The normal dudes Deadpool fights in Wolverine might just as well have been puppies.

But I digress. Apparently, MTV has the word that a DeadPool movie, starring Ryan Reynolds is in active development. Ryan has previously stated that he would not be doing a solo DeadPool movie unless the script stayed faithful to the comicbook source material. In the comic, DeadPool is a really funny guy. The merc with a mouth they call him. I’ve been reading a few DeadPool comics recently and he indeed has a mouth. Very good stuff. Thanks MTV.
