Comic Book Review: Alien Pig Farm 3000
Comic Book News, Sci-Fi Reviews — By nm boliek on September 4, 2009
“Alien Pigs Tore the Shirt From My Breasts!” Big bosoms, daisy duke shorts, alien pigs & a couple of bumbling rednecks. Sound familiar?
Search your mind; yep it’s right there, lurking on the edge of your brain, squirming around in your vapid trivia space of weirdness.
Could it be Redneck Rampage? The 1997 first person shooter game that sported some wicked tunes by Mojo Nixon, Reverend Horton Heat, Beat farmers and a few other class acts from the Psychobilly artists of the day?
Well it sure looks like it took page from that shiny little 1997 gem, but we’re talking Comic Books in this column not Video games so if you thought Redneck Rampage kicked some alien ass you haven’t seen anything yet.
Fire up your imagination and take a seat because when you sleep tonight the tight bottomed nubile girl gracing these pages is going to have you firing your gun at every grunting alien pig in your sweaty little dreamscape. This is gratuitous at its finest!
This book reads like a Robert Crumb/Frank Frazetta meets Dukes Of Hazzard in a Friday night acid session.
Got your attention? Hold on, it gets better.
Alien Pig Farm 3-0-0-0. That’s the title.
Uh huh, and look whose names are resting right there on the cover: Steve Niles, Thomas James, Todd Farmer and Don Marquez.
These guys all got together and produced this smarmy little piece of backwoods -alien killing redneck style way back in 2007 and it’s got all the Yank & Jane any purveyor of cheesy science fiction could want.
The art is tight and the story is absolute fun but more than anything this book is a true piece of over the top science fiction that doesn’t ever take itself serious enough to make you think. I could go into the plot and give you all the ‘facts’ but it would be pointless and it just wouldn’t do this book justice. If you’re not familiar you should hunt it down as soon as possible, it’s worth getting your hands on it to actually see the absurdity that lurks in these pages.
This is one you can’t go wrong with, I promise you its well worth the cover price.

Glad you dug the book! Thanks for the support! Was a blast to work on. We keep talking about continuing the story. Perhaps soon. Thanks again.
