James Cameron’s 1986 action sci-fi movie “Aliens” remains, to this day, my favorite science fiction and action movie of all time. What Cameron was able to achieve, in only his second directorial gig (after “Terminator”), is simply astounding. The film comes in two forms — a quicker-paced (though not by all that much) theatrical version, and a longer version that fleshes out the history of Newt more, and includes a lengthier battle with the aliens as the humans hole up in one of the last colony buildings. But the classic moment from the entire movie? Hudson, played by Bill Paxton, freaking out after the fit has hit the shan. Who doesn’t remember, “Game over, man! Game over!”?
Plus, as an added bonus, Newt’s classic: “They mostly come out at night. Mostly.”
