Christopher Nolan Set for Sci-Fi Actioner Inception

It looks like fans of Batman and those hoping for a quick sequel to “The Dark Knight” will have to wait a few more years, because Christopher Nolan has just announced that his next project isn’t a third Batman film as many people had expected or hoped, but rather a sci-fi action movie called “Inception”. The British director has set up the project as his next gig over at Warner Bros., where he also did the Batman films, along with “The Prestige” and “Insomnia”.

THR describes “Inception” as “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” I have no idea what that means, but being that Nolan isn’t one of those high-falutin’ directors who likes to get all esoteric or abstract with his movies, I’m going to let the description slide and say that sci-fi fans are in for a real treat when the film is released in 2010 as scheduled.
