The Syfy Channel’s “Warehouse 13″ is such a silly show. I once called it a silly show and someone got mad. I don’t know why. It’s a silly show. The acting is silly, the writing is silly, the direction is silly. Look, it’s just a SILLY show. Mind you, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Sometimes you just want to kick back and watch 60 minutes of something silly. “Warehouse 13″ serves that purpose for me. Good news, then, because Syfy has officially renewed the show for a fourth season. This, after officially canceling “Eureka”. I guess they wanted to shore up their schedule. Hey, it beats all those Godawful reality TV shows they were introducing last year. What’s next, “Closet Hunter”? Oooh, what’s inside your closet, boys and girls! They’ll find out! Anyways, “Warehouse 13″ is currently in its third season. After this week’s H.G. Wells-themed episode, here’s hoping the show’s creators actually get that spin-off show starring [...]

Ahem. Anyways, news is that former “Star Trek: Voyager” regulars Jeri Ryan (7 of 9 herself) and Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway) will be making guest spots on “Warehouse 13″ in the show’s upcoming Season 3. Ryan will show up in the August 1st episode, while Mulgrew will be featured in a four-episode arc where she will play “a Warehouse protector”. I’m guessing that’s kinda like Artie’s character? The protectors are usually older than the agents. Besides the two “Star Trek: Voyager” ladies, there will also be two former “Caprica” ladies showing up in the warehouse: Sasha Roiz, whose character is said to have “ties” to the season’s new main villain, while Alessandra Torresani will play “a troubled young girl.” “Warehouse 13″ premieres July 11th on the SyFy Channel, and everyone is expected back (despite the cliffhanger in last season’s episode), but will also feature new regular Aaron Ashmore playing a new agent name Steve Jinks, below with Eddie McClintock as [...]

A steampunk TV show based on the character H.G. Wells as envisioned by the boys and gals over at “Warehouse 13″? Oh hell yeah. Especially if they somehow get the gorgeous Jaime Murray back in the role, though at this point, that’s looking like a longshot. Why? Here’s what THR says about the upcoming spin-off: While it is still in the early stages and thus subject to change, the idea is to put Wells in a 1890s steampunk environment. Despite Warehouse 12’s efforts to recruit her, she would remain a free agent who uses her knowledge of contemporary science to solve murders and other mysteries. In this incarnation, she would enlist the help of a mechanical engineer and utilize her relationship with the police commissioner to solve what appear to be unsolvable cases. Both the skills and style she employs will become the framework for the well-known stories of H.G. Wells, as written by her brother. Sounds like they might [...]

At its best, the SyFy Channel’s “Warehouse 13″ is dumb, good clean fun. At its worst, it’s got really shoddy special effects, and, well, even then it’s still pretty dumb, good clean fun. Apparently lots of people thought so, too, because SyFy has renewed the show for a third season. Which is not unexpected, given that the show has shown strong ratings in its second season. Buoyed by strong ratings and critical acclaim, Syfy today announced a third season pickup of 13 episodes for its hit dramedy Warehouse 13, which will return in 2011. Universal Cable Productions also announced that Jack Kenny has signed a development deal that will return him for a third season as Executive Producer and Showrunner of Warehouse 13. During its second season, Warehouse 13 averaged 3.43 total viewers, 1.48 million Adults 18-49, 1.78 million Adults 25-54 and a 2.4 household rating, based on DVR Live +7 data (through 10 episodes). Warehouse 13 is Syfy‘s top [...]

While all the other networks are running first-time Summer shows, many of which have no chance whatsoever of coming back for a second season, the cable networks are rolling out their original programmings for return engagements. Next week on Tuesday, the quirky, the funny, the very amusing “Warehouse 13″ returns for its second season premiere. Much artifact hijinks, no doubt, ensue.
The SyFy Channel is so pleased with the performance of Warehouse 13 that they have already ordered a second season. Ratings for the show have been that good, and is apparently growing with each new episode. According to THR’s Live Feed, Warehouse 13 currently averages 4 million viewers per episode when DVR totals are added to the total viewership (no surprise, I DVR the show myself). That’s enough to make Warehouse 13 potentially the most-watched first season on the SyFy Channel. Warehouse 13, for those unfamiliar with the show, is an X-Files-ish show about two government agents who work for the titular mysterious warehouse. Their job is to hunt down and retrieve (or destroy if they can’t) supernatural and dangerous “artifacts”, which invariably turns out to be cursed items from history. The show, which has aired 7 episodes so far, co-stars Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly as the bickering but loveable agents, Saul Rubinek as their warehouse boss, lovely ladies [...]

I don’t plan to cover TV ratings very often, but it’s interesting to see how well (or not so well) some shows did in their premiere. Take SyFy Channel’s debut of Warehouse 13 earlier this week, for instance, which according to THR scored a solid 3.5 million viewers, making it the third best premiere for the cable network after Stargate: Atlantis and Eureka. THR stresses that this is good numbers for the show, which is good news for fans of Warehouse 13. I am one of those people, and will be watching it weekly. In case you missed it, you can read our review of the pilot episode here.

I must admit, I’ve been anxiously awaiting Warehouse 13 from the SyFy Channel. (Yes, the name change is now official. Let’s just get used to it, shall we?) Not because I think the show is going to break the mold, but because, well, it seems like ages since we’ve had a sci-fi show on TV, and Summer is looking bleak as all heck for the genre. So, thankfully Warehouse 13 has arrived last night with a 2-hour pilot episode, and I must admit – better than I expected, but also worst than I expected. What do I mean by that? I liked the characters and the set-up, but the Monster of the Week they chose for the pilot was, shall we say, stunk up the joint. The show stars Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly as Secret Service agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering, respectively. After the duo saves the life of the President during a museum visit, they are re-assigned [...]

Well it’s about time. Mind you, not that I’m crazy excited about the Sci Fi Channel’s new show Warehouse 13, but that Summer has sucked so far, and there hasn’t been anything decent or watchable on TV for the last month and change. My DVR hasn’t been busy at all, except for the occasional episodes of High Stakes Poker. Now, at least, I’ll have something for it to actually record — the two-hour premiere episode of Warehouse 13, which will be the first new show on the first official day for The Sci Fi Channel, now officially changed to the SyFy Channel as of today, Tuesday, July 7th, 2009. Hooray? Anyways, new promos from the show below. Warehouse 13 stars Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, Genelle Williams, Allison Scagliotti, and CCH Pounder. It’s produced by Farscape mastermind Rockne S.
Yeah, yeah, I know the Sci Fi Channel’s latest show Warehouse 13 isn’t going to break the bank of creativity, and it’s certainly not going to be as deep or gritty or “real” as Battlestar Galactica. But you know what? I don’t want it to be. There’s plenty of room for BSG-ish shows, and then there are plenty of rooms for Warehouse 13. The show is debuting in July on the Sci Fi Channel, and will star Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly as FBI agents assigned to a super secret warehouse in the middle of nowhere in charge of guarding a warehouse full of strange, paranormal artifacts. Basically, “The X-Files” meets, well, a goofier version of “The X-Files”. After saving the life of the President, two Secret Service agents find themselves abruptly transferred to Warehouse 13 — a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota that houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected [...]
