Still not feeling the title for the latest “Transformers” movie, “Dark of the Moon”, but eh, no one asked me. Anyways, the Michael Bay film will be present and accounted for during this week’s Super Bowl showdown between the Packers and the Steelers, and here’s one of the spots.
Okay, so I guess the cat is out of the bag — Michael Bay’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, besides boasting a very silly title, will reveal — drum roll, please — that the Transformers were alive and kicking on Earth way longer than we were led to believe in the first movie. Like, when we were going to the moon for the first time, according to the “Dark of the Moon” teaser. Please to watch it below.
Michael Bay and company have released the official title logo for their upcoming “Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon” sequel. Looks good, no? I still don’t get the “Dark of the Moon” title — it sounds a bit clumsy and such, and doesn’t quite pop off the tongue like, say, “Revenge of the Fallen”, which was definitely revenge-y.

I know a lot of you people out there have issues with Michael Bay’s “Transformers 2″. I’m not one of them. Oh sure, that Third Act final battle seem to keep going and going and going, but come on, it’s a movie about giant robots from outer space that can transform into trucks. Whaddaya want, “Citizen Kane”?
Given the option, Michael Bay wants no part of the 3D making process, and he wants no part of converting his “Transformers 3″ into 3D just so studios can charge an extra $3 bucks per movie ticket. The reasons? Bay believes 3D cameras are too heavy to shoot with during production, and converting 2D movies into 3D (the popular method nowadays with studios) is just, well, shit.
Principal photography for the third installment of Michael Bay’s “Transformers” will get underway in May and without a finished script. You are at work, or at home, or viewing this post on your iPhone as you hurtle at insane speeds through traffic and you are shocked and amazed. How can they start filming when the whole creative process isn’t complete yet??!
After some previous buzz involving the possibility of Michael Bay killing off Megan Fox’s character in Transformers 3, it appears that the very opposite is true. Despite the friction between Bay and Fox, not only will she live in the next movie, she will have a “great part”.
Megan Fox has certainly not lived up to the hype — if you were casting her as the leading lady of your movie, and throwing all the advertising dollar to promote that fact. But when it comes to opening that mouth and letting the fur fly without regard for, you know, what other people might think, then Megan Fox has certainly lived up to the hype, and then some.
