Principal photography for the third installment of Michael Bay’s “Transformers” will get underway in May and without a finished script. You are at work, or at home, or viewing this post on your iPhone as you hurtle at insane speeds through traffic and you are shocked and amazed. How can they start filming when the whole creative process isn’t complete yet??!
Here’s a quiz for you. What exactly was the plot in the first two Transformer movies?? Hello? Still with me? Yes, you can clearly see now that character development, witty banter and a point are just a possible value added component of your effects pregnant summer blockbuster. Shia can ad lib the lines. He’s good. Megan Fox can do what Megan Fox does. The robots will do the rest friend. It’s all about the robots. Maybe Megan over a motorcycle too. Just for fun.
Word also is that 3D is a possibility. For me, a “Transformers 3″ with 3D is going [...]

After some previous buzz involving the possibility of Michael Bay killing off Megan Fox’s character in Transformers 3, it appears that the very opposite is true. Despite the friction between Bay and Fox, not only will she live in the next movie, she will have a “great part”.
The feud between the two arose after Fox called her director a “socially retarded Hitler”. Rumors began that Bay was planning on cutting her out of the next movie, with her character being killed being considered.
Apparently, there are no hard feelings between the two. “I love her,” the director said at a Victoria’s Secret show (he directs the commercials). “It’s just that, she’s young. Everyone’s got to give her a break, she [is] only… 23? It’s just hard. I’ve traveled around the world with her and she’s just like this world symbol now, you know?”
While her status as a “world symbol” is certainly debatable, the final verdict from Bay is that she will [...]

Megan Fox has certainly not lived up to the hype — if you were casting her as the leading lady of your movie, and throwing all the advertising dollar to promote that fact. But when it comes to opening that mouth and letting the fur fly without regard for, you know, what other people might think, then Megan Fox has certainly lived up to the hype, and then some.
But has Fox finally gone too far when she recently joked that her “Transformers” director Michael Bay was like a socially retarded Hitler? Possibly. Word is, that comment may have gotten her killed. In the next robot movie, that is.
Movie industry insiders tell In Touch Weekly, Michael is considering writing Megan out of the series in a gory death scene in the first few frames of Transformers 3 and replacing with another gorgeous young actress.
“Michael’s pretty much discovered Megan and now he’s very quietly looking for her replacement,” the source spilled. “He [...]

A couple of “Transformers 3″ news for ya today, plus one exclusive clip from the upcoming “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” DVD release. After a lot of back and forth, Michael Bay has announced that “Transformers 3″ will be going into production soon for a July 2011 release, and that yes, Megan Fox will indeed be back.
Bay wrote this on his official message board:
Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012.
Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.
P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal [...]

But of course Michael Bay is already talking about “Transformers 3″. Why wouldn’t he? Despite persistent charges of racism, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” is closing in on $400 million worldwide grosses in just one week of release. This thing is a behemoth, folks, and I don’t think anyone is more surprised by the film’s wild success than the studios behind the movie. Recently, Michael Bay hinted at what to expect from a TF3.
The LATimes currently has an article spotlighting actor Ramon Rodriguez, who plays Leo Spitz in TF2, Sam Witwicky’s paranoid, alien conspiracy theorist college roommate who realizes — yikes — he was right all along. In the article, the LAT quotes Bay talking about Rodriguez, and what’s in store for his character in TF3:
Director Michael Bay has a third “Transformers” film in mind, and if it plays out as he expects, the next installment would have a more substantial role for Rodriguez. The filmmaker, speaking at his office [...]

“Transformers 3: Michal Bay Blows More Shit Up Coz You Know You Like It” (I could be wrong about that subtitle) was recently announced by Paramount as a 2011 movie. Not so, says the explosions master himself, who writes on his site’s forum that he actually told Paramount he would be ready in 2012, not 2011. Oops!
From Shoot for the Edit, Bay’s blog, The Bay posted this himself:
Wait a minute!
I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating Transformers 3 – they asked me on the phone – I said yes to July 4 – but for 2012 – whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots.
Michael
It only took him 2 years to go from part one to part two, so I guess Paramount was being a tad optimistic when they slotted part three for 2011. [...]

I was a bit late watching Transformers 1 with Shia and Megan. I mean, really, robots in disguise? I caught it on the Blu-Ray recently and I must say, pretty fun. Megan is not of this world. Shia is really good. He’s taken a bit of a criticism lately, but I’m not sure why. He’s passionate and his energy is very interesting to watch.
So fans, Dreamworks and Paramount have officially announced that Transformers 3 will be transforming your summer entertainment July 1, 2011.From Slashfilm.
