Gerard Butler’s latest, “Gamer” is essentially a rehash of the Arnold Schwarzenegger 1987 sci-fi actioner “The Running Man”, minus the groan-inducing quips and overall sense of cheesy fun. Sure, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have more to work with, including a more expressive leading man in Gerard Butler (though he doesn’t necessarily show it off here), better CG-assisted mayhem, and of course, more advanced squib effects to wow the audience with.

Even More Gamer Images
Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s “Gamer”, starring Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall opens next week, and although sci-fi fans and gamer fans will probably get a major kick out of it, I just don’t see it doing a whole lot of business. Regardless, check out new images from the movie below.
New Explosive Images from Gamer
If you’ve seen the trailers for Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s “Gamer”, then you know this thing has the makings of a crazy, balls-to-the-walls sci-fi action movie, the kind that guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger and company used to make by the bushel loads in the ’80s and ’90s. Except, well, crazier. From the guys behind “Crank”, you don’t expect anything less. Here are five more images from “Gamer” for your viewing pleasure.
Gamer Clip: Simon Plays Kable
From Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the creators of “Crank” and the writers of the upcoming “Jonah Hex”, comes “Gamer”, starring Gerard Butler as a con in the future who must battle his way through a FPS shooter game for his freedom. Evil guy Michael C. Hall plays the evil guy controlling the game, and Amber Valletta plays a chick in a bad wig who frequents raves. Okay, so there’s more than that to “Gamer”. Check out this clip from the movie, where Simon (Logan Lerman) “plays” Kable (Butler).
Gerard Butler On His Upcoming Sci Fi Actioner Gamer
Recently, Gerard Butler spent a few moments talking about his upcoming Sci-Fi action flick “Gamer”. In “Gamer”, Gerald plays the character Kable, a guy imprisoned and forced to be a living first person shooter character. He gets physically controlled by snot nosed kids but manages somehow to stay alive due to his studliness or his inherent Scottish-ness.
Gamer’s Augmented Reality Movie Poster
What exactly is an “augmented reality movie poster”, you ask? Good question. I haven’t a clue. But the folks at Lionsgate who are pushing the sci-fi ditty “Gamer” told us this:
Gamer International Trailer
Here’s a great new trailer for Gerard Butler’s sci-fi actioner “Gamer”, written and directed by those crazy “Crank” boys Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. There are certain parts of this game that just looks cool, like you’re really sucked into an actual First Person Shooter game. I’ve seen online Death Match games that looks just like this, especially the warehouse scene. the International trailer offers up a lot more new footage, and is definitely worth a look.
New Batch of Gamer Images
A new batch of images from Gerard Butler’s sci-fi actioner “Gamer”, one of those movies that you probably won’t be leaving the theaters discussing, unless it’s to argue about how many bodies the movie piles up, and how many explosions they managed through the whole thing. This looks like a straight-forward, shoot’em up in a sci-fi setting, and that’s just fine with me.
Official Synopsis for Gerard Butler’s Gamer
Lionsgate has sent over the official synopsis for their upcoming sci-fi action movie “Gamer”, starring Gerard Butler (“300″) and Michael C. Hall (Showtime’s Dexter). The film is written and directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (“Crank”), and is due out September 4.
Official U.S. Trailer For Gerald Butler’s Gamer
The official trailer for Gerald Butler’s “Gamer” has been released into the wild by Lionsgate. Big fan of Gerald Butler. He needs to stop making those fluffy romantic comedies and stick with action and drama. Hopefully drama with bullets. Good cast supporting Mr. Butler. Here is the official synopsis.
Motion Poster for Gerard Butler’s (Citizen) Game(r)
Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s “Gamer” (its the new, now official title, we’re told — formerly “Game”, then “Citizen Game”, but now just “Gamer”) stars Gerard Butler as … well, I’m really not sure what the movie is about. Apparently, from what I can tell, he’s some kind of real person who is controlled by a gamer (like you and me) through a game setting. It’s from the guys who did “Crank”, so it’s gonna be cool, that much is a given. Lionsgate has now released the first poster for the film, called a “motion poster” below. Run your mouse over it to see the crazy effects. The less fancy schmancy poster after that.
The Game: Trailer in Italian, Still With Gerald Butler
Gunfire translates into any language, as does incoherent screaming. Gerald Butler’s Scottish action cred also seems to shine through amid the smashing and bashing and general mayhem.
We have for you, via the kind folks at Quiet Earth, the first trailer I’ve seen of “The Game”, a cyberpunk actioner starring Gerard Butler, Michael C. Hall, Alison Lohman, and John Leguizamo. What’s it about? Well, I’m glad you asked!
Gerald Butler And The Game:Panel Videos From Cut 2009
Bad boy Scottish fella Gerald Butler stars in the Post Apocalyptic adventure “The Game”, coming to you sometime this year. Some cast members from the film (not Gerald) reminisce about the making of the film, which included naked fighting and the finer points of the drinking establishments in Albuquerque.
