by Nix - on Sep 6th 2011

Vin Diesel in The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) Movie ImageAccording to Vin Diesel via his Facebook page, “Riddick” will indeed by R-rated, and pre-production is still going strong on the movie, with director David Twohy back to direct. Plus, he dropped this nifty little concept artwork from the movie showing hero Riddick looking very up to his eyeballs in blood and death and no doubt, lots of carnage.

Riddick 3 Plot Details, Spoilers, and Such

by Nix - on Aug 18th 2011

The folks at MovieHole have gotten their hands on some casting notices and plot details from Vin Diesel and David Twohy’s upcoming “Riddick”, their sequel to “Pitch Black” and “The Chronicles of Riddick”. I suppose shortening the title to just “Riddick” is the way to go, though it might actually confuse people who don’t already know it’s a sequel to two existing movies. Then again, considering the clunky nature of “The Chronicles of Riddick”, maybe that’s not such a bad idea after all.

New Concept Artwork for Riddick 3

by Nix - on Jul 19th 2011

As he is wont to do, Vin Diesel has released another piece of concept art from his in-development “Riddick 3″ movie through his millions-strong Facebook page. “Riddick 3″, of course, is the sequel to “Pitch Black” and “The Chronicles of Riddick” that he and writer/director David Twohy have gestating somewhere in the bowels of Hollywood. Who knows if we’ll ever actually see it, but until then, here’s the latest piece of art from the movie. At the very least, we know Twohy is still working on it in some capacity, because according to Diesel, this comes from Twohy himself.

First Concept Art from Chronicles of Riddick 2

by Nix - on Apr 8th 2010

Via his Facebook account, Vin Diesel has posted the first concept art from what I assume is the upcoming “The Chronicles of Riddick” sequel, because I don’t recall that dog from any of the previous movies.

Says Diesel about the pic:

Early Riddick concept art… first frame of a 2D Motion Choreography Study.

Chronicles of Riddick Sequel Plot Details

by Nix - on Feb 16th 2010

The Hollywood Reporter has given us our first taste of what the “Chronicles of Riddick” sequel will be all about — basically a “back to basics” storytelling that, from the sounds of it, is more “Pitch Black” than the clunky, epic-wannabe mess that was its sequel, “The Chronicles of Riddick”. Hey, I liked both movies, but let’s face it, who the hell cares about the Underverse or whatever the hell it was called. Give me a primitive, primal looking Riddick going up against people in high-tech suits with space guns armed with only a prison shank and it’s all good.

Vin Diesel Confirmed For Third Riddick Film

by endymi0n - on Feb 12th 2010

Well, it’s a done deal. Our man Vin Diesel has been confirmed for a third “Chronicles of Riddick” flick. David Twohy, who wrote and directed both “Pitch Black” and “The Chronicles of Riddick”, will direct Mr. Diesel again from a screenplay he wrote.

Vin Diesel Hints that Chronicles of Riddick Sequel is Gearing Up

by Nix - on Dec 2nd 2009

Apparently when Vin Diesel talks, he likes to say “Haha”. I mean, I’ve never actually seen someone type “Haha” as often as Vin Diesel does, but I suppose the man does it in real life, so it naturally translate to his typing. Or at least, that’s what I surmised from these entries at his Facebook account, where Vin Diesel has not only been hinting at a “Chronicles of Riddick” sequel on the near horizon, but seems to actually be saying it’s going to happen, and soon.

Vin Diesel Updates His Facebook Page With Riddick News

Science Fiction movies that you can remember for more then a couple of years are rare. A movie will attract your attention as it is hyped, entertain you moderately at the theatre and then pass into the general cloud of Sci-Fi history. Maybe you pick up the DVD in 8 months or if it was a bomb, a couple. For me, “Pitch Black”, starring Vin Diesel, was different.
